On any half decent set of DIES (Yes, dies!) the spots are white on black, so, as the saying goes, one wonders from where yours came.....
Of course, they might be part of some kids game or something like that, but they sure ain't the real McCoy!!!

Dice have traditionally been marked this way for centuries in China. There is an apocryphal story about a Chinese emperor needing to roll fours in order to win a game he was playing. The result he needed came up and he decreed that the fours be painted red to celebrate his victory. The one is red because it is the "ace" and best roll in many Chinese games. It is also usually a much larger pip than all the others.
