you would possibly want to provide it ghost shrimp, yet pacus are specially herbivorous fish. in the wild, they eat fruit, algae, and numerous water flora. therefore a extra acceptable nutrition plan might want to be vegetable-depending fish meals supplemented with such issues as zucchin, pumpkin, eco-friendly beans, peas, spinach or different vegetables, products of fruit, and so on. i'm particular anybody else right here will allow you to understand a similar challenge, yet a 40 8-gallon tank is a few distance too small for even one %.. This fish grows to bigger than a meter in length and a minimum of 100 kilos. It grows quickly, too, and lives for 15 years or extra. i'd not attempt to maintain a %. in some thing smaller than a a million,000-gallon tank.

It is either a pacu or a red bellied pirahna. Not both.

Pacus are vegetarians.

Pirahna are carnivores.

It will eat what is available, but why waste the money if it is not what it is born to eat.
