have you checked availability for TV cable? therwise your stuck with dial-up, I'm sorry!

You might try a bigger hard drive and more memory, that could help!

Had the same problem...bug your phone company, they CAN give you DSL even if you are far away from their central office if they want to. Otherwise Speakeasy may be able to help you

..we had them for a long time before our phone company was willing/able to give us DSL. They put in a dedicated line from the phone company to our house and gave us ADSL which is slower than DSL but a lot faster than dial up...fine for gaming. It is expensive but we felt it was worth it...

Also keep in mind in additional to Cable DSL and DSL on your phone line there are WIRELESS DSL providers..you may have one that services your area ...Here is a link

You may want to consider the offerings of Verizon Wireless and Sprint network .. they offer high speed on their cell phone networks..
