if indeed I was a liar, and said so, I would be saying the truth, but what if I wasn't a liar and said that, would I NOT be lying or would I be? Am I very truthful. or am I just a liar?

While a liar doesn't have to lie all the time, a person who is truthful cannot tell a lie. Therefore, if you said you were a liar, you'd be telling the truth at that time.

Being a liar does not mean you always lie. Telling one lie amoung thousands of statements makes you a liar but to be truthful, you cannot tell a lie.
So, a liar can say they are a liar and be telling the truth but a truthful person can not.

you would be telling the truth if you were a liar, but you would be lying if you usually tell the truth. however, what if you only told lies and said you were a liar? always told the truth and said you were a liar? hmm, hmm?...yeeeah.

a lie about the truth is still a lie. so you would be liar.
A lie about being a liar is also a lie.
if you were not a liar and said you were, that also would be a lie, so either way, you are a lier.
