women know dates ohh yes if it werent for my wife no one would ever get a birthday card from me and some christmases may be ruined as well

I think it is all just stereotyping or generalising concepts given to the general public by the media.
Just because the guys in the teenage dramas always forget dates doesn't make it true in general society...
Though, women being naturally selected to be the carer as far as roles in society and relationships are concerned and so have more of a necessity of being more organised. As the designated mothers, they need to have a sense of organisation in life.
Men are different. Male hormones cause men to act with more spontaneity naturally causing them to not bother with organisation and dates. The original duty of the male was protector and labourer and worked according to present needs and so did not have use for planning and such.
Men and women may have evolved to be different organisationally.

I think this affects men and women equally. Though I suppose a lot of women do get a once a month reminder.

Women usually care more about dates, anniversaries and birthdays so they usually are better at remembering.
I myself have to check the calender most days to see what date it is. Every day it's different!!!!!!!!!!

i use to write the date all the time and remember it no problem but cos of computers, we very rarely have to write the date nowadays so i think its gonna be a mixture of men and women who forget the date!

They are just as bad ...though, so many women have difficulty in know the difference between their Left and Right.
It always strikes me as very weird.

Women are more in tune with dates especially birthdays, anniversary etc.
