Out of the two, Cannavaro is the lesser of them. This doesnt mean that he is not a great player. I'd have him in my team like a shot.
But they are different players completly.
Zidane was a Legend even when he was playing. Cannavaro will be remembered as a great player when he retires, but he will never recieve the same notoriety as Zidane.

yes cannavaro is a great player but i am in S.A some people dont even know that he exist.zidane is the best and known all over so we cannot say that he is overrated at all.maybe cannavaro is!!!

If anything, they're both underrated.
And to avoid answering your question, I'll just make up my own and answer that one. "Which of these two players is the most underrated?" And the answer to that is Cannavaro.

Neither. I think they are both exceptional at what they do. You know I hold ZZ in very high esteem, he and Baggio are my all time faves, but no one can fault Cannavaro for his defence or leadership qualities.

Cannavaro.He wasnt even known by many soccer fans before the world cup.Just bcoz he captained Italy to win the World CUp, he is gettting all the attention that he isnt even worthy of,
Zidane is a midfield magician who is the best of his generation.He is a soccer player the world gets to see once in a long time.
