I could go to Kohls or Walmart and buy a pair of jeans for 20 dollars, made out of the smae material. It is ridiculous, I don't get why people shop there, especially high school kids. I see people everyday walking into school with a new american eagle or abercrombie outfit. Anyone else agree with me that this is just stupid.

The manufacturers have drilled into kids heads that being a walking billboard is stylish.To me, it's just plain ugly most of the time.Give me a pair of Faded Glory jeans and a plain white T-shirt any day.

although i REFUSE to pay THAT much for jeans for my boys, i WONT buy crap from wal-mart either.....its cheap in more ways than one.
its made horrible and they fall apart. they are obviously NOT kid tested lol, cause my 10 and 8 yr olds can go throw a pair of walmart jeans in about 10 days flat! the material doesn't hold up the in the wash either.
i have two boys, and about 3 to 5 loads of laundry a week, i don't have time to wait for jeans to "air dry", i need their jeans to be TOUGH! that means paying a bit more for a STRONGER WEAVE of denim. denim is not all the same.
you must look at thread count.
walmart brand jeans use a "bare minimum" thread count. while these high dollar places use a higher count. that is reflected in the price along w/ this brand name BS they pull.
i tend to stick around the old navy, gap prices for my boys. they aren't as expensive but they are made better. and they last longer. when you have three kids (two being ROUGH and rowdy boys) you can't afford to replace jeans all the time, and if you did...it WOULD be like your spending the same amount for the abercrombie, AE etc. jeans, over time.
just a thought, from a parents point of view.

I absolutely agree. It's ridiculous. I used to work at a specialty store, that sold various things, and everything there was so expensive, I couldn't even get it with my 35% discount. I can't even put gas in my car, much less pay $50 bucks for a cotton shirt that I can get at Target or Walmart for $15 or $20. It's crazy. I don't get it either!

Well, I love designer clothes, in particular Burberry, Armani and Prada.
The actual choice of how much money someone spends on clothes is personal....but since you're wondering I'll tell you how I can afford it!
