Yeah. That's what rust is. Metal comes from the Earth, so it will take it back too. Everything is biodegradable... Even styrofoam and nuclear weapons. Some things just take longer to break down than others.

Biodegradation is the process by which organic substances are broken down by other living organisms. The term is often used in relation to ecology, waste management, environmental remediation (bioremediation) and to plastic materials, due to their long life span. Organic material can be degraded aerobically, with oxygen, or anaerobically, without oxygen. A term related to biodegradation is biomineralisation, in which organic matter is converted to into minerals.

Biodegradable matter is generally organic material such as plant & animal matter and other substances originating from living organisms.

metal are not organic material, so your answer is NO.

First, you have to define what you mean by metal. There are elements and there are amalgams. Elements are not degradeable as they're the most basic form. Oxidation (ie. rusting or iron) is not degradation. It's a cehmical reaction where you end up with a new compound. Other metalic compounds don't generally degrade (ie. coins).

absolutely, rust is the first stages of degradation, it takes a loong time but it will degrade. It depends on the alloys added to the iron. It starts as iron ore and ends as iron deposit.

i think metals are not bio degradable. but forming rust etc... is a chemical reaction which is not a bio degradable reaction
