I will watch horror movies, and most of the time I'm fine, but some of them really scare me! To the point I can't sleep! I'm a grown woman. I have children. Why am I such a such a wuss?!?

Actually, being scared of horror movies is likely the sign of a good, strong imagination. If you remember enough for it to scare you, you're certainly imagining quite a bit! My suggestion would be to either not watch scary movies (no fun, I know) or sit and think hard about them immediately after viewing them--if I let them sit, all the images come back as soon as I've turned off the lights and gotten into bed...

To Tell You The Truth I'm Not sure.Because I'd Have To Ask A Question,Were You Like This Before You Were Parenting?,Because If You Wasn't I'd Say It's Because Of The Fact You Are A Parent See I have a 5 month old child and before she was born I could watch scary movies but once she was born I couldn't they scared me something awful! I Think it's just parenthood if you ask me.Other Than That couldn't Tell you.

you are not a wuss, its just when u watch a movie for some people get more absorved than others in it, when it is horror, ur brain makes ur body "believe" ur actually in it, and so u find ur endocrine glands releasing adreline throughout ur body, ur hands start sweating, etc. the way to not be scared of horror movies is to become UNATTACHED to them, like me. i watched the texas chainsaw massacre with some friends, throughout the movie my friends were all nervous and looking scared, but i kept my cool and remained and unattached and actually found the movie HUMOROUS, i was the only one that laughed in the movie theatre, and it was one of those uncontrollable laughs, i wasnt hiding the fact that i was scared, i simple wasnt scared and saw the movie in a very humorous fashion, like when the killer trips over the barbed wire, or he starts walking after his vicitim all bootlleggged, ur not a wuss! just dont believe u are, but that way u cant really enjoy horror movies, so make ur choice, and remember everyone gets scared sometimes of horror movies.

Something in the show triggers a memories for you. For me it was the boggy man. Well after a long time I remembered that I was hurt by a family member who would hide in the closet.
It is most likely something you don't want to remember but this movie make you almost remember it.
Start a journal. Write things that you will not show others. It helps.

BOO!!! A good scare reminds us that we are still alive. Came home late from a Gretchen Wilson concert last night and my 16 year old son had every light in the house on! But denied being scared. lol. Enjoy your wussiness, baby.

No, you're not. It's normal to be afraid sometimes. And it's a good thing that you watch those kind of movies: it makes you face your fears.
Last thing to remember: most of the movies that you watch are just it. Movies.
Hope I've helped.(^_^)

Everyone has this fear. You're not the only one.
Maybe you should do something else like maybe your hobbies to distract your mind so that you'll forget the horror movies you've watched. Then, you can go to sleep. =P

Some horror scenes are just too much for you, but don't worry, it happened to me too. Try to watch some Disney cartoons to balance it out.

Don't watch them. you will do no good to your children or to yourself if you have been up all night, because you were watching horror films. your kids need you to be alert.
