I think that Gilbert is nice! I figured out my sons' names out by playing them off of family members and each other. Once we decided on the first names of our first two boys, the middle names and the third son's just kind of fell into place.

I really believe in naming for people that you admire and look up to whether they are friends or family members. Also making sure that they sound good with the full name and the family's first names. And do not forget to make sure that the initials do not spell out something demeaning.

Congratulations! Gilbert is really nice; masculine and classic. It makes me think of Fredrick or Harris.-- oh I have a cousin who named her 2nd boy Harris and they call him Harry. They also have Billy (William) and Jackie (Jacklyn).

I love the names...
Landon
Spencer
Ethan
Westyn
Hayden

All a little different but not so different that they will get beat up on the playground at school! I like Gilbert, but I would call him Gib or maybe use his middle name.

When i was pregnant with my son my brother nagged the hell out of me to call him Maverick, I didn't but now I don't think it is such a bad name. he recently had a daughter whom he called Nevaeh, which is heaven spelt backwards.
