A few years ago before my parents moved into their new house, I was goofing around and got into the big garden tub in my mom's bathroom (clothed, mind you) and she took a picture on my digital camera. After she snapped the pic, I immediately took the camera back from her to see it, and there was the bathtub, but I was not in it. Freaked me out to say the least!

If the camera used a flash, then there is a good chance that the flashed over exposed you to blend in with the white bathtub. Or she took a picture of the bathtub before you were in it and you viewed the first picture in camera instead of the last. Or your a ghost : )

Not that hard out. But we took a photo of a group of us once and one guy was standing slightly away from the group and in between was a shadow of another person who didn't exist. Freaked us out big time. But then kinda forgot till you mention this question. File it under strange. But cool though aye.

As you say you were goofing around so the chances are that you weren't pointing the camera directly in the first place so the person wasn't in shot.

I've never experienced that but I have heard of it happening. Usually that only happens when the person in question who is "missing" is a ghost. I've never heard of that happening with a living being though.
