"Is Graham Norton being a bit stupid discussing how great ecstasy is?
Being so much in the public eye, doesnt he have a duty to watch what he says on subjects like this"

Yes. I agree with you. Does that answer your question?

Pathetic. What about the families who have lost someone because of ecstasy or indeed through other drug-taking? The guy presents family shows like Strictly Dance Fever so he's been extremely insensitive and completely irresponsible, as well as very juvenile even bothering to discuss the subject - isn't there any other, more riveting stuff that is going on in his life? Any respect I had for him has gone now and he should be taken off TV all together. What an absolute idiot.

What's the problem with him saying that? Rock stars etc talk about taking drugs all the time.

Graham Norton isn't a children's entertainer for fook's sake. His shows have always been very risque and adults-only, and his comments were published in a magazine aimed at adults.

To be honest, how many 16 year olds are going to be particularly convinced to take ecstasy even if they hear the comments? I don't think teenagers have ever been his target audience and I don't think teenagers particularly like him.

No one complains when Oasis sing about doing coke all the time, and impressionable youngsters are exactly the kind of audience that will think Oasis are cool and be influenced by them.

It aint exactly the brightest thing he could of done. But even when you try to tell kids not to take or do something they will do it just they have been told no. Unfornately thats the way kids are today. God I sound old. I think he could perhaps warn them of the dangers. And even though he is in the public eye he can't be held responsible for every individual who decides to try drugs. It's an awkward one to call, but then look at Pete Docherty. Do we think he should watch what he does? Heroin!!

It's his opinion. Why should he refrain from what he thinks just to appease you? You should teach kids to think for themselves, not be wrapped up in cotton from peoples opinions. I'm not being biased cause I don't actually like Graham Norton. But whats the big deal with drugs? If some kid goes off now to take some ecstacy just because Graham Norton says how great it is, then that kids sucks, cause they haven't got a brain of their own.

Freedom of speech is there for a reason. Graham was only speaking of his past experiences,he wasn't endorsing drugs or telling anyone else to imitate him.. Just because he is in the public eye does that mean he can't do as he pleases as long as he isn't hurting any1??? Do we the public have the right to tell him what to say??? No i don't think we do,any well informed person will make up their own mind about drug taking,he can't be blamed for any1 who is stupid enough to copy him...

I say fair play to him for not pretanding to be all innocent like certain celebrities.

He is a total fanny. Imagine telling the whole world how successful he has been at covering up the fact that he is a drug taker !! ??? He should be taken off our screen immediately along with all the other knob jockeys that the entertainment industry is filled with.
