I've noticed that when people are coming to a stop, the tend to look off to the side or down for about the last 10-15 feet. It's sort of weird. Has anyone else noticed this? look in your rear view mirror next time you're stopped at a light. it bugs me.

Maybe it's just an Arizona thing? I think I do have a phobia of being rear ended. There are some really bad drivers in Phoenix and I'm constantly anticipating somebody doing something stupid. These people aren't checking mirrors, they are looking at the side of the road or the car next to them. It's just odd, sometimes I even catch myself doing it.

I once read a report in readers digest that the three most poular things people do while driving , is masterbate, pick their nose , eat fast food. Maybe that's what they are doing, and it would be much easier to perform these activities when driving slow or at a stop!

I've never noticed it. I look in my rear view mirror as I'm slowing down to make sure the person behind me is slowing down as well. But then as I come to a stop, I look a the car in front of me, if there is one, to gauge how close I am as I come to a stop. But maybe that's just me.

I have never noticed that and that's probably because i'm one of those people that looks straight ahead when coming to a stop.
But it is an interesting point you bring up i'll have to keep my eye out for that action.
