hi i hav 512 mb ram and 8 mb on board graphics so i wanna noe can i allocated graphics memory from the ram????? i mean can i change the graphics memory to 32 mb or 64 mb by allocating it from the ram?????

Yes, if (and ONLY IF) your graphic cards (and motherboard) supports HyperMemory (for ATi) or TurboCache (for NVidia) technology. Please note though, a 32MB Graphic RAM from HyperMemory or TurboCache would be slower than a real 32MB graphic card, although since your Real Graphic RAM is really low (only 8 MB) and your System RAM is adequately roomy, your performance should improve significantly by using HyperMemory or TurboCache technology.

If your card doesn't support this feature, you ought to buy a new graphic card, with bigger real Graphic RAM.

Note: Older onboard graphic card have the UMA (Unified Memory Architecture) architecture are also able to use the RAM memory as their own memory

You might be able to install a graphics card and use that instead on the onboard, you need to consult the motherboard manual to see if this is feasible
