Well, some people do claim that gays seem to be more creative and artistic than straights. Most believe this is because their minds are free from cultural boundaries, limitations and taboos.
Also note all the gay creative/genius people in history. Given that gay men are about 4-5% of the population, we might expect that from a list of noted people is history, only 4-5% to be gay. But, this rate, in fact, is alarmingly high.
Some of these homosexuals are:
Alexander the Great
Leanardo da Vinci
Michaelangelo
Socrates
Plato
Aristotle
Sir Issac Newton
Tachikovsky
Oscar Wilde
Nietzche
Milton
Shakespeare
Gay people have made a huge mark on our history for such a small minority.

Some gay men are.But that is a stereotype that all gay men are somehow different then straight men in regards to creativity or talent of some kind.It would appear that gay men, for instance, make good fashion designers or hair dressers. But I am gay and I can't do either of those things. And I get my hair done by a straight women and much of my clothing was designed by a straight man.

No, creativity does not have a sexual orientation. However the freedom from ridicule is a factor. It takes a man secure in his masculinity to be able to deal with his peers and perhaps his family if he dares to do things outside the hetero box.
May I point out that Picasso was completely heterosexual. Any question in anyone's mind that Hemingway was straight? John Lennon? Kurt Russell?
If more straight men would be complete human beings and stop worrying about their perceived sexuality, maybe they wouldn't look like such morons.

More creative or talented than straight men, hum; Perhaps not but defiantly more expressive than the straight man. Most gay men that I know are really more sensitive than straight men and they are also more expressive with their emotions which sometimes show through their creativity and talents..

I'm a straight male, but I work in the Psychology Field and with Human Behavior. From a Scientific Perspective, gay men tend to exhibit supposedly "creative" or "talented" aspects because they're Psychologically geared toward a Feminine Perspective.
- The Mind is like an Intellectual Ovum
- The Ears and Eyes are Intellectual Vaginas
- Sound and Words for Communication is Intellectual Sperm
- Mouth is an Intellectual Penis
- You "impregnate people with thought" so that they "give birth to" or "conceive" an idea
Gay men tend to be more "open-minded" or "fertile" because they're receptive to being impregnated with new thoughts and ideas.
People who are deemed "stubborn" or "narrowminded" are unreceptive or closed off.
A clear example of this is how Gay Men are associated with Art Museums. Gay Men can go to an Art Museum and be moved by the paintings they see on the wall. They claim "Art speaks to them."
The Artwork on the wall is "seeding" thoughts even though it's taking on an inanimate masculine role while the Male looking at the artwork is "receiving" and taking on a Female Role being "impregnated" with thought so that they give birth to new ideas because of how the art moves them or elicits feelings and emotions.
Communication is Sex. So Gay Males, although physically masculine, have a Feminine Mind. They're more nurturing and supportive of having new thoughts or ideas "seeded" into them.
For people who take on a Submissive Role of receiving thought, that's Female. People who are more open to thoughts and ideas are engaging the Feminine Part of their Mind.
It's just like Computers. Computers are technologically Hermaphroditic because they send and receive information. E-mail is "Information Sperm" being deposited into an Electronic Mail Vagina. The Web Browser gives birth to the E-mail Page. When you send out E-mail, you're talking on a Masculine Role regardless of whatever gender. The Computer is serving as an Electronic Phallus.
Homophobia seen in Straight Males is an example of men who refuse to take on a Feminine Aspect of being seeded with the thought of Homosexuality as an Accepted Lifestyle. That's the rejection of an idea. Any time someone attempts to plant that idea (fertilize), it gets rejected in the form of an Abortion to the Idea of Homosexuality.
Ironically enough, I've told my Gay Friends that if they want to legalize Gay and Lesbian Marriages, it's really simple.
Two men are allowed to get a business licence and refer to it as a "Business Marriage" because it's the Union of two people.
If Communication is Sex and it's undeniable that both Males have been exchanging Business Ideas and "fertilizing" each other's minds with Business Concepts, they've been engaging in a Sexual Act.
If it's okay for two males or females in Business to be in a Business Marrage, then why can't it be okay for two men or two women of the same gender to get a Marriage License?
I work in the Film & Entertainment Industry as well writing Legal Contracts. So I have a working knowledge of the Law.
I point out I'm a Straight Male so that people don't think this is Gay Propaganda. I'm personally indifferent on the issue and just talking from a Legal Aspect.

Studies on cadavers of gay men indicate a bigger corpus callosum, the connecting tissue that connects the two halves of the brain, than straight men. This suggests that like women (whose corpus callosum is also larger), they may have greater affinity for things which use both parts of the brain, for example, language usage.

No, I'm straight and I have more talent in my pinkie than a lot of homosexuals I know, gay men just tend to lean towards designing clothes, hair, and home interiors. Straight men go for building and designing cars, tools, and the houses that gay men design on the inside.
