I have a 2005 Ford Escape. I bought it used, but the vehicle had one owner who had it for 3 months & decided she didnt like it.
When I bought it, they went over it with a fine tooth comb..so they said.
4 days ago, I filled my gas tank up & now I have a ticking/tapping/clicking like sound that was not there before I put the gas in. Is it possible that I ended up getting bad gas? Or do you think it could be something more?
I have a little more then 1/2 a tank left, so do I wait until the gas is gone or should I have it looked at?

I would check the oil level, add a bottle of HEET to the gas tank at next fill up, and when you fill up, use premium gas this time &
then run a bottle of injector cleaner to the gas on fill up after this one. More than likely your problem is very minor but I haven't seen the vehicle so I don't know.

gas low on oxtain would make a pingin noise,,but try some isoprofile gas treatment, that takes the water out of gas systems, personally it sound coincidental that you got gas and something happened,,in other words,,,something showed up and you just noticed it after getting gas.

It under warranty, so I would take it to the dealership and have them check it out.
No matter what the cause it, tapping is a bad thing and should be checked immediately.

you could have bad gas put some gas treatment in it if that does not work check the owners manual and see if you have the right octane.

check your oil-if its a lil low especially on newer cars this will cause a tappin in your rockers-bad gas would make it spit and sputter at times and have power loss-check your oil it sounds like its low
