Specifically, after I click the "download" word,it opens and says: save or file, but doesn't says the word "open" like in other cases. The one that can not be open has a design like a white block. to the left of the space.Except that one, all the other designs says "open".Which Browsers you suggest for me to download every attachment, except the ones with virus, of course.I use "IE" & Mozilla Firefox. My Computer is a laptop Microsoft Windows XPWhat "Openers" should I install so I can open-download,the attachments of the emails. I have used "Real Player", "Windows Picture & Fax Viewer", but they open-download, only some attachments not all of them. I use Yahoo all the time, should I try with Google or AOL?I have them but never use it.This matter gets me sad and willingly to learn so much, not to get frustrated. First thing the operating system allows you to "Open" a file based on the TYPE of the file. Typically for .TXT, .DOC, .ZIP and .EXE files etc the OS will let you open it.

But lets say you get a file ATTACH.XLS and you dont have Microsoft Excel, it cannot be opened.

Do not worry or get frustrated. See the extension of the file you are downloading (last 3 characters) that will tell you why those files are not opening. Do a google on that extension like ".zip filetype program" will tell you what program you need to open .zip files!!
