Well, it depends on what you want out of life in general. If you want a good job market and comparatively low house prices, and like the city life, and warm climate, then I'd suggest the Dallas/Fort Worth metroplex. But if you prefer outdoor activities more like hiking, camping, and general nature related things, then I'd suggest perhaps Colorado Springs, CO, or Boulder, CO. It also depends on what you think you're going to be doing for a living........for example, Boulder, CO is known to be a location for high tech jobs. You might re-post your question with more specifics of what you're like and your ambitions and desires. I'm sure there will be plenty of input.

No I don't think the idea is Crazy. If you are young enough and have the resources go for it! I've seen suggested Colorado --- Taxes are overwhelming. Dallas/Ft. Worth --- Hotter than Hades in summer and the traffic is past awful. I live in NW New Mexico and love it. To me this state is about perfect because I have lived in Colorado and Texas. The city I would recommend is Albuquerque NM. Right now the Balloon Fiesta is going on and you can get live coverage on the net and see the Fiesta and the City and countryside. Good paying jobs are available. The year round temperatures are not extreme, the humidity is always low and you have skiing on the Sandia Mountains, which Albq. sits at the base of. It's an easy city to get around in and the housing market is lower priced than lots of markets. The Culture is very diverse.... Anglo, Spanish and Native American which makes the city interesting. Right up the road is Santa Fe ---- which nobody can afford to live in --- but is very well worth visiting. A trip through this part of the country is something you might consider.
Remember! Look up the Balloon Fiesta. It's breathtaking
Good Luck!! With your plans.

I havent quite made the move yet but have been approved so will be moving to Victoria BC in the next few months. I jave visited Canada loads of times and im lucky enough to have family there. From what I can gather from being there and my family you should have no problems as a Brit emigrating to Canada on a whole they are very welcoming people. Sorry I cant help you more but good luck whatever you decide to do.

You have the final say. But when I had my US Tour last 1996, I found out that the safest is West Virginia. If you forgot to lock your car, when you return, it's still intact. But then, as I have mentioned, you have the final say.
Good luck and happy hunting. Take care :)

you don't say where your living now. but lots of place are nice. it depends upon what you like. if you like entertainment go live in Vegas, i lived there for 15 years. but now i live in California. i love it here. cause Vegas was getting to crowded. i would suggest go to a travel agency and pick up all the brochures there. also go to the library. or go on the internet. pick a route. make a list of what you like in a city that you would like to live in. and go from there. write down all your likes and dislikes and compare them to cities. good luck!!!
