A good therapist should not tell you anything, she/he should be asking questions to help you find out yourself! You are the one to know, no-one can tell but you.
This sounds like a bad therapist, who is making prejudgements, he/she is in my opinion really crossing a line here. Sounds like this therapist has some pretty strong ideas about sexuality and tries to push that upon you.
Which can be damaging to your psychological health!

The thing is, therapists have a certain power with their clients. Because most clients look up to them, they can get very confused when the therapist starts to push their own believes upon them. But never forget that a therapist is only human, and a lot of them suck. (just think about sexual abuse by therapists.) They are not holy people, and sometimes you have to really go looking for a good one to find one.

Find out yourself who you are, and if you need a therapist or want a therapist, go to an other one! Someone without prejudgements, someone who is realy concerned for your psychological wellbeing.

exciting risk. i'm afraid you'll declare my answer a copout. even with the indisputable fact that it might want to count upon no matter if that's our mind who makes us who we are or is it our soul. no matter if that's our soul might want to that flow with the mind? might want to the female with the guy's mind nevertheless be the female she develop into earlier yet with the options of this guy? Or might want to or not that's the guy in a sparkling body? without understanding this how are we to respond to? Sexuality at the moment is defined through the sex of the body. The sex of the body is determined through the sex chromosomes. subsequently if a lady body were engaged in sex with a lady it could be homosexuality for each of the body elements except the mind. For the mind it could be heterosexual. From my observations even with the actuality that the mind has little or no position in sex subsequently i imagine we would want to ought to assert the female being in touch with a lady might want to be a gay interest.

Unless you actually are a heterosexual female... don't listen to that crackpot. Why are you going to see a therapist anyway...? I think you're old enough to know what turns you on and what doesn't. If you like girls, good for you. Frankly, I think it's better if you're not a breeder... the world's too overpopulated as it is, and it's all because of straight people...

Damn a therapist, my school therapist told me I wasn't really gay, that it was a rebellious phase I was going through. I walked out of her office and haven't been back since.
I know what I am, and damn if I need a therapist to tell me what I know in my heart.

It mean that they think your homosexuality is just a "phase or a "Psychological problem" and you really just a confused straight girl. Don't pay it any attention, people always feel the nees to make a scientific excuse for things thatthey dont understand or can't relate to. Follow your heart, and if it lead youto a woman, then your a lesbian. Period. Good luck honey.

Next time you see him, ask him why he said that. Maybe he's anti-gay or maybe something you talked with him about set his mind to it. Only you can decide if you like men or women; whether its a choice or a genetic thing you are the only one who knows what you want/need/like in a partner. So just ask him to explain; it could be anything...

Are you straight (are you attracted sexually to men) if so then he was right. Are you bisexual (are you attracted sexually to both men and women) or Lesbian (are you attracted sexually to women)if either of these two are true then he is a quack and dont go back to him.
