The adage “honesty is the best policy” still holds true. The points that are important in communication are disclosure, transparency and continuous communication.
Disclosure is about putting facts on the table. A good organisation not only ensures transparency at all times, but also provides information which is required. So the communication process has to be accurate about what is being talked about. The two go hand in hand.

well, it depends on the situation n the atmosphere.
if it is for a good course than it should be spet out n if it will cause pain to any one u should also tell because one day or the other the truth will come out
it is said that the older the truth, the bitterer it is. so just speak out. even you'll be relieved from a great burdurn.

Absolutely it is. When you lie, you have to keep telling other lies to cover the first one. It's easier to just be honest. Even when someone gets mad at you for being honest, eventually they get over it. If you lie...then people doubt everything you say to them afterwards and bring it up every single time you have an argument.

Yes to a large extent, but the occasional white lie can defuse a awkward situation.
