Please explain The Franklin in Canterbury Tales just about his character not about his stories thank you?

I need to know just about his character like is the characters values good/bad about this character? What is Chaucer emphasizing about the character (It might (Hint: It might be something ironic)? What detail allow you to conclude this? Why would this character make the trip interesting (meaning the pilgrimage they make to St Thomas)
