I'm 26, and I have never had regular cycles due to cysts on my ovaries.
I had a very heavy period over 6 weeks ago, and not one since. The other day, I felt a strange "fluttering" in my lower abdomen. I bought a pregnancy test today, not expecting much. The test either turns positive or negative.
At first, it was a negative. Upon re-inspecting the test a few hours earlier, I saw a very, VERY faint line that would indicate a positive.
Due to my PCOS, I doubt I can be pregnant, so is it best to disregard the test and assume a tiny bit of ink emerged? Can a positive even occur after a few hours?

hi, i was the same i was told i had polycystic ovarian syndrome and that it would be practically impossible for me to conceive naturally, i now have 3 happy healthy kids , all of whom i conceived naturally, with my 3rd child i was the almost the same as you, i took a test about 2 weeks after my missed period and the test came back negative, when another week later i still hadnt had a period i did another, same result, so then i went to the docs and he did a test, and that 1 came back positive, my advice, never discount it till you have seen the doctor.

The fluttering in your abdomen could be you ovulating and about to have another period. That happens to me pretty much every month. It also could be the development of a baby. That also happened to me with both pregnancies early on. I would wait another week and take another pregnancy test. The faint line could be an indicator that the preggers hormones in your body aren't quite strong enough to register on the test. If the test comes up negative again in a week, I would go to the doctor for a blood test to be absolutely sure. Also when you take the next urine test, take it first thing in the morning when you wake up. That's the best time because the hormones build up while you sleep.

I though I read somewhere that even the faintest line in the "positive" circle means that you are pregnant.
I was also diagnosed with PCOS. I though I couldn't get pregnant. A year later, I took a test and it came back with a very faint "positive" line, and yes- I was pregnant!
Take another test in a week or so, just to be sure. Tests can be wrong, but they're usually false-negatives rather than false-positives.

Unless you didn't allow the full amount of time for the test to show it's results, I don't think it can change over a few hours but I am not a doctor. I suggest buying another test and retaking it. Then if you still aren't sure, make a doctor's appt. to confirm either way. Good luck!

If you feel a fullness or mild ache in your lower abdomen, feeling tiered, drowsy or faint. Discomfort or tenderness in your breasts. Period of nausea, especially in the early years. Or a missed period. If you have any of these symptoms you can be pregnant for there are other reasons that these things could be happening. Go to your doctor just to make sure.

No until she has one other unfertilized egg that used to be left within the tube from the final ovulation. Very infrequent despite the fact that. Women CAN'T get pregnant once more at the same time pregnant despite the fact that. Although in case you heard of fraternal twins its viable to occur that means. Good good fortune.

i watched an episode of "the ellen show'. is was a sitcom with ellen degeneres. and there was a woman on there that thought she may be pregnant and ellen being ellen said they will all take a test to make her feel better. the test strips got mixed up and they didnt read them for a couple of hours. it showed that one of them was pregnant. and they didnt know which one. (out of 3 females).
well, as it turned out, the preg test, after a few hours (or so) showed a false positive (per a doctor or pharmacy). it was a very funny episode. and i love ellen degeneres she is very funny.

go to the doctor and have blood work done. Ask for a preg test through blood work and a full blood count and full blood exam. Also ask for a full physical exam.
more than likely you are not pregnant but it could be something else that will be picked up through blood and a full physical.
good luck

if you've had sex, you can be pregnant, againts all odds sometimes it can happen. if you're smoking or drinking, stop untill you can find out for sure, wait another week or so, and go to a dr/ clinic for a test.
good luck if you want to be pregnant,
and good luck if you don.t HOpe it turns out how you want it to.
