On the cover of the Massacre, he's got these lines drawn on him and around him. What are they supposed to be or do ?

All I know is his all the tatoos are to cover his bullet scars

They are not suppose to be anything other than line, and they are not suppose to do anything either, other than maybe confuse the living daylight out off you,don't worry about hem, they will cause you no harm
