There are 3 ways of reproducing depending on the species of the shark.

Some (eg Hammerhead)give birth to live young - viviparous

Some (eg Port Jackson, cat sharks) lay eggs & the eggs hatch outside the mother's body - oviparous

Some have eggs which hatch within the mother's body & the pup exit the mother's body - ovivivparous

Most do. My favorite is the Horn shark egg which has a hard spiral shaped shell that spins into the sand. But, the Tiger Shark gives birth and does not lay an egg.

Among most species of sharks, the fertilized eggs are hatched inside the female, and the pups are born alive. However, about 40 shark species do lay their eggs outside their bodies.

No. They give "birth" to live young. The eggs hatch inside, then the baby shark comes out, and swims away as fast as it can so it doesnt get eaten.

No they don't.Because eggs need to be nested eg:crocodiles, birds ect. and kept warm. You can't do that under water!.The baby sharks just pop out
