most celebrities have more money than they need , if they can afford to waste thousands of dollars on a gold baby pacifer, or millions of dollars on 1 lousy dress, dont u think they have too much and dont u agree that the government should make a law that all celebrites MUST give a certain amount of money to charities, or the poor, or just people that actually NEED it, i bet if every celebrity gave money to important things, this world wouldnt be suffering at all, & yea i know if ur poor its not the celebrites fault, but they could do SO! much good & change this world for the better, but instead theyre so greedy, after getting your dream house dream car dream kid toys etc dont u think after that theyre just being completely greedy i truly hope they spend time in purgatory or hell whatever they believe cos its unfair if the gov truly wanted the world to be a better place they would enforce a law that all celebrites should give $$

I know what your trying to say but I think that the government should never have the power to tell you what to do with your money. It's bad enough that they tax us to death. God gives us free will. Celebrities will not get a free ticket into Heaven just like no one else will. If they want to be charitable, they have to do it out of the goodness of their own heart. Remember the poor woman in the Bible who gave her last two coins, she gave more than the rich because she gave all she had and it was from the heart. Hoping someone burns in hell because they have more money than you doesn't help your argument either. Before pointing out the splinter in your brother's eye, you should pick out the plank in your own.

I understand what you mean. I think it's obscene that some people make so much money... politicians, movie stars, rock singers, athletes. Our society needs to just stop feeding that kitty. But that's not going to happen.

As far as the government making them give up their money.... uh... the IRS already does that. The more money a person makes, the higher percentage of it they have to give to Uncle Sam for income taxes.

And... if it ever gets to the place where people can't make as much money as they want, or get most of it taken away from them.... then who would bother to invent and create things in the hopes of getting rich? That's what motivates all that genius and creativity that fills our world with new and interesting things !!

I don't wish any one to hell, but every thing else you said,i agree with you. Some people just have way to much money.I know that most of them have earned their money and should be able to spend it how they like, but alot of these people also run around telling people how they need to put their hands in their pockets and give to charity, but yet they don't practise what they preach, and yet some celebrities could give away over half their fortunes and still have more than enough for 20 lifetimes, and more.

i dont think its possible to force them by law to do charitable deeds with the money they have
but yes i agree they have too much money they ever need in like the next 10 lifetimes, bu think about it the things they give up: privacy, sometimes you lose credibilty cos of all the tabloids (whether true or not its a different story, but as long as your name is tagged with a rumour it definitely affects)

all i ask is that they shut the hell up about piracy of their movies/songs/games watever and let me download for free in peace. earning $10million lesser isnt gona put a dent in their $100s of millions of assests, well mayb just a house or some clothings missing but heck they stil can eat right!

I agree to some extent, I think it's obscene for anyone to spend huge amounts on a car (clothes, jewelry etc.).
Celebrities are not the only wealthy people that fall into the greedy category.
Thankfully we have wealthy people like Bill Gates, Oprah etc.

You want to send celebrities to hell because they keep or spend the money that the public gives them?

Holy crap, you're insane.

Yes, they could do a lot more good, but mandating their altruism is morally meaningless and highly unamerican.

Absolute not. They earned the money it is theirs to do with as they please. After all communism is out of fashion.

I do agree with you the money some celebs have could be spread around for good causes, and some do.
