ok..so how do i know where a good tattoo artist is? My husband got a tattoo from this one guy, he does good work & owns his own shop..plus everyone around here likes the place, but he has kind of a shitty attitude so i don't know if i'd be comfortable with him working on me..so what should i do?

just keep looking around, it is your body this permanent tattoo is going to go on. don't settle down for some jerk. look around who knows maybe you will find something/someone better.

Ask friends who they recommend. If you see someone with a nice tattoo ask them nicely who did it and tell them you really like it(I always like getting compliments on my tattoos). If all else fails look in the phone book and find local shops. Go to the shops and talk to the artists, look at some of their work, and talk about prices and what's included in the price i.e. touch-ups, etc. Get to know the different artists and don't settle until you find someone you really like. Good luck and happy tattooing!

When you see someone with a tattoo that you like and is of good quality, ask them where they had it done. Most people don't mind talking about their tats.
