I was kinda hoping for some stuff a little more out there. I'm surprised not to see any Gabby La La, Maya Bond, Mr. Bungle, etcetera... although I'm glad someone mentioned TMBG, but "Particle Man"... why not "Boat of Car" or "Toddler Highway"? Good to see some mentions of Primus too, but again... not really the kind of thing I was looking for. Have a listen to "Ma Meeshka Mow Skwoz" by Mr. Bungle then get back to me.

There was an album of covers of Disney songs by artists like Bill Frisell, Sinead O'Connor and Sun-Ra. It's called "Stay Awake: Various Interpretations of Music from Vintage Disney Films". It also features the most cavernous, dirty, eerie version of Heigh-Ho I've ever heard, by Tom Waits. You can listen to it here: http://tom-waits.spb.ru:8008/studio/heighho.mp3

Of course, there's always Waits featuring William S. Burroughs track from the Black Rider soundtrack - 'T'ain't No Sin.

A song I heard on the "oldies station" (Can't remember who sings it), but it was about a lady who met a blue man & he followed her everywhere. The chorus was:

I love you, I love you, said the little blue man I love you

He would say this everytime she ran into him. Then, she would run away.

Then at the end of the song, he said "I don't wuv you anymore" & jumped off of a building.

Anyone know the name of this song?

"Don't Worry Kyoko, Mommy's Only Looking for her Hand in the Snow", by Yoko Ono & The Plastic Ono Band. Totally weird... As for the genre, it's pretty much "unclassifiable" :-)

"Fish heads" by Barnes & Barnes (very strange group which included the actor Bill Mummy from "Babylon 5" and "Lost in Space") The chorus is::- Fish heads, Fish heads Roly poly Fish heads Fish heads, Fish heads Eat them up, Yum (link below goes to the full lyrics) Also - how about "Intro to the outro" by the Bonzo Dog Doodah band ? It features the immortal line - "introducing Val Doonican as himself, 'Hello There!' " In fact most songs by the Bonzo Dog Doodah Band (from the pen of Neil Innes) would fit the bill. Also most of the songs from Monty Python's contractual obligation album - including such classics as "Sit on my face and tell me that you love me", "Here Comes Another One", "Traffic Lights" and "I bet you they won't play this song on the radio". Oh an not forgetting the hymn "All things Dull and Ugly" from the same album.. All things Dull and Ugly All creatures short and squat All things vile and dangerous The Lord God made the lot.

Third World War. Planet Earth. A quirky album. Black cover, the paper sleeve on the inside is scorched on the edges and inside hole. The album starts off with a atomic warning siren, then a blast, then a wind sound then silent for the rest of the album. The sound part is about 30 seconds. Its real I have 3 of them.
