Before you do anything recommended by the experts here, tell me something, when was the last time that you cleaned you system? In other words, when was the last time that you deleted you temporary Internet files, your cookies, your history and your cache? Do those things first and then do a check disk and a defrag and when finished, restart your computer to see if the problem is gone. If the problem is still there then you will need to consider a thorough antivirus scan by going to Norton site and use their free scan. They have a wizard doing the scan which will give you a report what is going on in your machine and they will recommend remedies. However, the scan takes a little too long and you must wait till it's finished.

Try using firefix or opera. If that doesn't fix the problem, try using a Restore point.

In the start menu, go to HELP on the lower right side. In the window that pops up, search for "Restore Wizard". Restore the computer to a date before this problem started happening.

Uninstall and reinstall your browser. It's gone corrupt.

Get yourself Mozilla Firefox which is much better than IE.

All the best.
