Depends on the person and what we are talking about. I try to listen, but sometimes I get so excited about what I want to say that I don't listen and just wait for my opportunity to say something.

I always listen and wait for a person to finish their statement. If I don't, I may not have all the information I need to answer them. The only exception is when I am having an argument. If I waited then, I might not get the last word, lol.

I listen and wait to talk out of courtesy. I believe that letting someone finish their thought while speaking is the polite thing to do. If I'm arguing, then I cut right in. Hope this helps.

Listening with the ear is the first step. Listening with the whole mind engaged so that one is noticing as many aspects of others as possible is the next step in developing listening. It is surprising how many aspects there are to others' messages: timing, voice tone, estimating what is being left unsaid. The last step in developing listening is verification, where what one hears and infers is offered back to the speaker, restating briefly what you thought was the intended message.

LIsten to them. If I'm having a conversation then I actually do care what the other person has to say.

I listen and also wait to talk and sometimes while listening intently, forget an important topic or question I really wanted to discuss.

I listen and when they are finished talking, I talk. That's usually the way communication works
