I have tried saying Hi but everytime I do the other person just says what, or what do you want. I moved 6 months ago and have been terribly lonely since. People in this town just seem so stuck up, they don't like to communicate with people out side of their "group". So it is making it very impossible for me to make friends. I'm easy going, not an a ss or anything like that. Please don't say join a club, because the clubs at this school are lame and I hate staying after school. I'm a freshman in high school.

i think it's easier during class. ask someone about homework and you can start talking about other stuff. depending on who it is, you guys might become friends! :)

OMG! I'm a freshman too! No wait...where is your high school?Cuz there are places where ppl have middle schools which I didn't have. doesn't that mean ur in gr.9 or something? Anywho, just try to make friends! There's gotta be someone who's not stuck up! When someone says something try to join in on them and stuff. Good luck!

I don't know of many people who could turn down a plea like that. If they do, you don't need a friend like that in the first place. Good luck. I know how hard it is to adjust to new surroundings, especially when you are a teen. Hope you find loads of wonderful people to be friends with you!

OK, don't join a club, join a gym. or take up dancing lessons somewhere, the ice breaks real easy there. if not there is always volunteering at any public places, social skills are required of course.

u must follow the situation,what kind of group u wanna join?if crazy group,try to attracting them,the point is u must be ur self and try to attracting them,maybe u vave something that u can show to them,some thing like show off,hehehe,just try...

start with small talk like the weather. say ( nice day hah) and go on from there. or you could start by saying nice car, what are you running in her, hows the gas mileage and so on.
