Do us all a favor and to these two things in order:

1. Take a bottle of Prozac. In your case, you probably need two
or three.

2. Shut the hell up.

Noone wants to hear your anal retentive little ramblings about how you are the only one who knows how to properly speak and write the English language. There are a plentiful amount of people who do that already. I realize that you feel obligated to have some sort of talent or skill to compensate for your lack of physique and/or personality, but I would strongly prefer that you choose one that is slightly less annoying. This is the Internet, not Harvard. If you can't handle anything less than perfection it would be a good idea for you to look elsewhere.

Yes. What is making this matter all the more sad is the fact that there is a perfectly good "Check Spelling" feature right next to the answer box that was created speifically for that purpose. People that can't spell annoy me with thier ignorance & laziness.

I think that they are not learning how to spell in the first place....

Did you know that Bush's secretary of education is named Ms. Spellings?
Fits her well, I think....
Her first order of business was an attempt to ban PBS because she thought that Buster the Rabbit was a homosexual.... and we wonder why teachers can't get a raise in this country!

Be cool - stay in skool.

Yes, definitely.

It seems like not knowing how to spell correctly has become "cool."

I don't get why it's so difficult for people to just click the 'Check Spelling' button.

I never knew how to spell. Thanks to whoever invented the spell checker. At least I do take the time to correct some of my mistakes.

Think the biggest problem today is pure laziness. IMHO

No, I think and I believe they do so because they prefer simplicity in the language they use. They would rather use "lol" than "laugh out loud". Notice how much time they save?
