I am entering a program which will put me to work in a prison environment, working as a psychiatric technician with mentally ill and sexually violent prisoners. I have never done anything remotely like this before. Any comments or advice frrom someone with experience?

never let Ur self get in too deep. always keep it professional and always remember that u can not judge them u have to try to understand why they are the way they are, get in their shoes and heads.
BE STRONG and confident,and never show fear.
don't ever let anyone change u.

Be prepared to be Messed with Emotionally and possbily Physically. They are deviants at heart and no matter what you believe, you have to be very careful. They are master manipulators and will Lie even when you think they are telling the truth
