for the last two years ive been pursuing a career in modelling and finally got a break when my agent phoned me to tell me the great news i was flying to america for a year to promote myself to the big modelling labels. my boyfriend of 4 years and now fiance tells me that if i go he will not wait for me when i get back. i cant understand i thought he would be happy for me but he was the total oppisite. im due to go in 2 weeks i have told him that he can come with me but he said no way and i should stop thinking about myself. i can see he is deadly serious and i know in my heart if i go that is the end of our relationship. he is now acting cold towards me. what should i do. this means alot to me but so does my fiance.

Do your thing. He should be supporting you. Men always get scared when women start getting successful. Its like we don't need them anymore. But you have to stand up to him. I guarantee he won't follow through.

I know how frustrating that can be, but if he really cares for you, he should support you instead of making you choose between your modeling career and him. He is suppose to be there to help you and cheer you up and not to cut your wings off. You have been dating him for some time now but I do not think you want to be with someone who prevents you from growing professionally.

GO FOR IT!!!! and dont look back, hun its really hard to get that kind of career and if you have the opportunity dont let it pass because what if you never get another? You ll regret it for life, my father didnt go for a dream career because of my mom, and they re divorced.. .

If he really loves you and wants ot marry you, he ll be there, and if not then hes not worth it. hes probably jealous and worried about you getting hurt or taken from him. just do it, and if he s still there hes a keeper, if not its ok its not the end

That's a tough one...He should be happy for you, if he is unable to move with you he shouldn't say " hey if you go I wont wait for you" He should of tried at least...He is giving up on you easy... You are probably young and career should be important for you... You might regret it later... Good luck with whatever you decide...

Whatever you choose is right. If this is your only chance, then do it. If you believe you will make it, do it! As for him, if he doesn't want to do what you have been wanting to do your whole life, forget him. There are plenty men here in the US, like me. Just kidding, haha, I'm still only 16.

This is your future that you're dealing with here. And any man that respected you would respect your career, and where it takes you, physically and mentally. He sounds very selfish.
