I started college at 22. I enlisted in the Army for 4 years after high school. Lots of people do it, don't be embarrassed. KoZ aka Mr 1000 is just a jackass and narrow minded. Do it, college is a great experience.

I am 42, and a graduate, presently a father of 2 and in full time employment; last year, I started a 2 year, part time degree at University.
Why would you think when you are 22; think about it carefully, and take a decision, you might regret it once you are my age or older, as those brain cells of yours, might not (actually will not) function as efficiently when you are really old; especially if you have kids (I have two, one of 13 and one of 8); I love them to bits, so do not misunderstand me and if there is one thing in life I will never regret it will always be my kids, but they require care and attention ...etc.
So go ahead and good luck

Relatively. Think about the people in their late 20s and UP who don't even HAVE a college degree - you are still young to be starting college. If you're comparing yourself to the early 20s and late teens who are already in college, then you're still good - you haven't missed the bus, yet. But now than later. Don't put it off any longer.

no...it's the perfect age to be starting college. a lot of college kids start directly after high school, so they're 22 by the time they graduate college! in college there are actually a wide age range of kids so it really doesn't matter. there are even adults (40+ in age) in some of my college classes!

Yea. You'll be real popular. You can buy beer.
Plus, you can pickup the 18 yo freshman chicks SUPER easy. Start in the fall before they get snatched up. Gotta move fast. Forget about the junior and senior girls, they've already chubbed up and they'll be gone before you will.

You should start college at 18, right after high school.
I'm sorry but this is a very dumb question.
