stopping something cold turkey means giving it up and never touching it again. sometimes if you quit a drug or quit smoking, you will gradually wean yourself off of it by smoking less and less each day. but quitting smoking cold turkey means that all of a sudden you just stop smoking period.

cold turkey is kinda slang for just doing it stop and thats it make up your mind and do it. But it is hard. I was told recently that I have to quit due to a heart problem, I did good for a while but the will power wasnt there. oops. Good Luck To You Though.
