Most people move to NYC from other places- often small towns. Humans are quite adaptable. NYC is the center of the Universe. And a friend of mine always says, "Once you live in NYC, you never leave."

But then again, i was talking with a soap actor today based in NY and he doesn't want to live there anymore, wants to move back to CA.

Honestly though, if that's your hot body in the avatar, you wil love NYC. You could probably make a good living gogoing with that hot physique.

NYC IS a million little towns in 1. Actually, it's more like a million little countries in one city. NYC's got Harlem, Spanish Harlem, Upper East and West Sides, Korea Town, Little Italy, Chinatown to name a few distinct areas. You get used to it.

Yeah. The challenge would be the high cost of living (rent, transportation).
-I think a small town person would love and appreciate the different cultures, cafes/bars and things to do nonstop!
-I have friends that made the transition and their only complaint is the high price of rent. They have roommates and sold their cars since they take the trains and use public transportation.
