yes. Silk and wool are materials from animals, however, leather is derived after killing the animal, peeling off their skins and processing them. Whereas, to extract wool, one need not kill the sheep, only remove the extra fur on their skin, which grows back on the animal. Im not sure about silk. Leather is considered bad and there is a lot of mobement amongst people regarding animal rights - as it involves brutal killing of animals for the sake of garmets and other things which can be made out of leather.

To be precise, leather is a material from the skin or hide of animals. Leather is not a broad term for material from animals. It can of course be obtained artificially. Silk and wool are definitely not leather as silk is obtained from insect secretions and wool comes from animal fur.
