YOU can complain because rosebushes have thorns, or rejoice because the thornbush has a rose … it's all up to YOU. How one looks at life, how one lives; it's all up to the individual. I'm sure there's more than the 10 minutes you enjoyed each day. Look hard, look around; there's more. Someone smiled and greeted you first? A 'hi' from a someone who walked past you? Is that your favourite song playing now on the stereo? Did you appreciate the sight of the teenager helping the old lady across the zebra crossing? ;-) Today I'm gonna be happy, because I choose it to be :-) Be happy, cheers!

Sounds like you might be depressed.
You might not have the heebee-jeebies but instead might have the existential blues.. (to quote the dr. demento song I liked)
Joseph Cambell quoted Shopenhaur as "Life is monsterous! Life must eat life to survive"
I try to look for the beautiful in life. I also try w/o much success to go to bed on time and eat well.
I have been watching more movies now, and thinking about resuming my studies of Japanese...
Life is now better that I can save some money each month and not worry about every dollar. Hope you can get to a point and say the same.
enjoy

I had a friend who got into a discussion with a young man that felt that life was crappy. Things just weren't going the way he would have liked. My friend allowed as how the young man's troubles didn't seem worth getting upset about. The young man told my friend George (who was blind by the way) "Well, you just don't know what's important."
There was a long pause. George, who spoke with a dutch accent, then said; "well my friend, when the Nazis invaded my country, I found out what is important. Not dieing of thirst is important. Not starving is also important, but not as compelling as thirst. Being able to cover your nakedness is nice, and if you can get out of the weather, that's nice too. Nothing else is important, I know and you do not. I hope you never have to find out what's really important, but by God don't ever presume to tell me I do not know what is."
Perhaps it is just a point of reference you need to find out that life may not really be all that crappy after all.

whats going on in your life? if your going through hard times, i can relate. ive been through some rough spots in my life (do NOT turn to religion! I almosted ended up becoming clinacally depressed doing that (feeling im not good enough for help from god...ironic, huh?) shortly after becoming an atheist, i immediatly had a better outlook on life. i knew there wasnt anything after this life, so i made the best with what i had.)
just remember...if life gives you lemons...go to the guy that life gave vodka to.

life is going to come at all of us. sometimes it goes our way and most of the times it does not. i dont expect life to make me happy because it never really does. my happiness is my resposibility and only comes from the way i think and how i react to what life is throwing at me. what i am learning is change myself and the world changes right along with me.
