the tv off because it was bothering him and also the phone rang for my daughter. It's after 1 am now and I don't want to go to bed. He's been grumpy all evening for no reason except his dog was underfoot.

This is a tough one. Try giving him a kiss on the cheek when you go to bed, and if he wants to be rude, then you would probably want to consult a friend who knows how you interatact with each other tommorrow for advice. Hope this helps.

Underfoot?

Er, anyway... I think you should probably go to bed pretty soon. Your body needs sleep! You do sound tired...

Oh, and I hope your boyfriend becomes un-grumpy soon. You might want to try asking him if something's bothering him. Maybe not though. What do I know?

Maybe he is grumpy because you post every detail of your inane existence on the Internet and you can't make a simple decision without consulting the entire world. Just another perspective of the situation, hope it helps you.

Stay away from your grumpy b/f especially the ones who are so rude as to turn of your tv when you're watching it. He could have asked you to turn it down. Just stay away from him whether staying up or not.

It does not logically follow that his grumpiness was caused by you, nor does it follow that you need to change to please him more than the usual give and take. It's important to stand your ground. But you might consider using a set of earphones if you're feeling generous.

Turn this thing off and go jump his bones. NOW. Do it for those of us hugging a pillow, dammit.
