how do i name train my pet blue rat? hes about a year and a half old, and i was wondering if "Habib" would be an easy name for him to learn, he also has a brother, Milo. any tips or instructions would be really helpful.

I have a male black hooded rat named Charlie and he knew his name the first week I had him...I was lucky, I work at a Pet Shop and picked him out of a feeder litter at 4 months...anyway I kept calling his name everytime I got him out and when I fed him and gave him treats. I'm about to get him a big Ferret cage for him to run in...don't you just love rats?

You certainly can name train rats. They are very smart little guys.
Start with meal times. If you leave pellets in for him, that's fine, bring treats. They love fruit and vegetables.
When you have yummies for him, call him by name. He will come for the food at first, then learn his name.

just spend an hour or so a day with your rat, putting him on a bed, table, or sofa and just say his name if he wanders too far, after awhile he'll get it
