Why keep child molesters in prison on my tax dollar?

Why not put them to death.

I think they should castrate all sex offenders. Cut off genitals, fingers, toes, and tongues. then they wont have the means to hurt anyone else. :) and definitely wont be at risk for recidivism.

There is only one little tiny good reason or thing that I think may come out of it. When they are in prison they work and the money they make from working goes to the victims. Also, when child molesters are in prison they then have time to think about what they did and feel bad for the crime rather than just dying and not paying for it or anything. Wouldn't everyone want to die than be in prison?

Because very simply the laws do not allow for that punishment.

They can only convict and stenence to jail time if the law indicates that is the appropriate consequence.

Death shouldn't be an option for these people unless they are caught multiple times- most are sadly enough.

I think more appropriate then jail would be confinement to a mental health prision which is far worse and no they should not ever be eligible for release, but we could and should force them to work in these places and earn money to provide for themselves. Sadly the laws state we can't force prisioners of any type to work actually so we have to change our laws to better meet the crimes and needs of our world.

It's cheaper to keep a criminal in jail than to go through all the appeals necessary to execute him. Besides how would you feel about the death penalty for a child molester if her or she was your sibling?

i agree with you completly there is no hope for rehab they have already ruined the lived of those children

I agree with you, but I don't think that will ever happen.
