The Black and Yellow Argiope is quite large. I've seen many in Michigan.

Also, the Banded Argiope is found in Michigan and is quite large. There is one in front of my house in Michigan as I write this.

i been there once, up in pentwater, they got these soda dispencer mini tarantulas, it looks like a shrinken version of a pet tarantuala, only smaller, it was in the hotel ice/snack room, we ran out of space to sleep, and nobody wanted to sleep on the floor, i slept in the space between the 2 matresses, lol, my back hurt alot the next morning
