Koi are related to goldfish (same family) and can be just as dirty. Get a GOOD filter. Like one for a 40 gallon tanK! IT'll keep it clean and it also will still add oxygen to the water.

Also.. thats WAY too many koi in a 10 gallon tank. They will not last a month before they start dying off. The grow VERY fast and can get up to 2 feet big.

I wouldn't even reccommend 1 koi in a 10 gallon tank.

I hope you have a pond ready for them....or your just wasting your money and thier poor little lives.

I suggest donating the koi to someone who owns a nice big pond. They get very big and have a potential lifespan of around a hundred years - it'd be extremely sad to cut their lives down to mere weeks or months when they have a lot more coming to them.

For a tank that size I suggest a hang on the back filter possibly supplemented with a bubbler of some kind. You could put a few mollies, guppies, platies, danios, or other small fish in there but nothing more.

Koi need 250 gallons each, they is why they are pond fish and not for tanks. It doesn't matter what you buy for the tank they will not make it. They can grow up to 3 feet but if kept in that tank for too long even if they don't all die right away they will become stunted which can cause even more health problems.

Those koi are going to get way too big for that tank. I say get a pond in your backyard and put them back there.
