no it means you go to FORMAT then PARAGRAPH and if you look close to the bottom it says LINE SPACING. scroll down and put DOUBLE instead of single. then your essay is double spaced, thats what that means

Double space the lines, not the words. Put 2 spaces between lines instead of just one. Hope that helps...)(

Double spacing is a line of space between each line of writing. You set this option in microsoft word by clicking:
Format
Paragraph
Line Spacing (set it to double)

When I do this

It is considered double spacing, which is to create a bigger

space between lines. When you are done typing a line

hit enter twice.

Get it?

No, it means to leave a blank line between every line of type. I'll presume that you are using a Microsoft product to type your paper, so ...

click on "format"
click on "paragraph"
on the "idents & spacing" tab ...
go down to "spacing" and
click on the box that says "single" and
change it to "double"
click on "okay"

Change the size of your font to 16, and you're ready to type your paper. Good luck. :)

It means to skip one line after every line. Like this:

dsjkjdlskf sdkjf lksdjf kjsldkjf ksdj lksjdf kjskd

sdjflk sdjkfjsd lkjflskdjf klsldkjf ksdfj lksdjflk jsd

sdfhl ksdhfkj skdjflk sjdlkfjsdkl fjklsdjfk jsdjkfkj j

Double spacing is a setting on your word document (like Microsoft Works or Microsoft Word) -- it's how much distance there is between two lines. For example, the following is double-spaced:

"Blah blah blah Blah blah blah Blah blah blah Blah blah blah

Blah blah blah"

Like this.

Today my dog went to sleep then woke up and ate. He played

around alot then went back to sleep. I think he is very tired and

needs to get out more.

Here you go! just after the sentence takes up a line click enter twice or you can set it up on your computer.

its when you skip a line after every sentence on the computer.
for example:
The cat began climbing up the tree when it saw a brown dog

coming down the street.
