I never knew that Denny Crane was maybe Shirley Schmidt. I thought he was maybe Captain Kirk. I thought she was maybe Murphy Brown. Of course neither of them would be nearly as funny without James Spader who I prefer to call the enforcer, not because he looks anything like Clint Eastwood but because "Pet perve" takes too long to say and always make ask "Well where do you buy one?".

There are too many to choose. Good writing and casting. It is a toss-up between Shatner's and Slader's character for me.
Betty White & Henry Gibson also are in the running. I hope they bring in some of the "Practice" charaters as judges or attys.

She's not on there anymore, but it was the sex kitten Tara (Rhona Mitra). When she was onscreen I just couldn't take my eyes off her. Great screen presence and I really like how she played her role as professional, but yet with a sultry edge.
