Sant Petersburg one of the most beatiful cities in the world in the summer. Good reasonably priced restaurants (outside Nevski area). Vodka.

There maybe many possibilities. Maybe the person is in love with a pretty Russian girl. Maybes the person wants to adopt a Russian child. Or it could be plain business.

You really should visit Saint-Petersburg! I love my city, and i hope you'll like it and come back again :)
We have white nights - sun is not coming down in may-june, this is a great time to walk around the city center..ohh..my answer is limited, can't post anything else..but i can tell, it's better to see, than to read..

My guess would be international adpotion. Because of the regulations here in the states, it's often easier to adopt abroad.
