Sorry, let me rephrase my question:

Is there a specific name for a person who pilots commercial airplanes as a profession?

People who fly planes are called pilots or aviators.

People who fly their OWN planes are called private pilots.

People who fly military planes are called military pilots.

People who fly fighter-style military planes are called fighter pilots.

People who fly commercial planes are called commercial pilots, though sometimes they are called airline pilots (since they are employed by airlines.)
