Sorry Mick, but you know I had too.

Thanks to all you real baseball fans.

SOME (not all, clearly) yankee fans have been screaming all summer long about how tthe yankees would win thier 27th championship.
I think they forgot you actually have to play those games first.

Our pitching sucked!!!!!!!

They played the wrong team at the wrong time. No one can deny the Yankees pitching has sucked all year long, and it caught up with them. When you are behind from the beginning, it gives the opposing starter confidence, and you saw that today. ESPN was already predicting a short series after game one, wow were they wrong. I KNEW that if Mussina lost game two, we were in trouble, especially with Johnson being 43 with a bad back. Now we are stuck with Johnson for another year!!

It seems the Yankees run into the hot team almost every year, Angels, Marlins, now Tigers. The Yankees of old had pitching, these guys are just plain embarrassing. I think we should just clean house this offseason. Yes, if they can find a taker for A-Rod (I've heard the Angels want him), and can get a couple of young arms, and a position player, then go for it. Young, power-pitching is coming back, look at the Tigers and Twins.

Well, as I promised you, I have to root for the Tigers now, if you guys meet the Mets in the Series, you have GOT to kick their a$$es, or we will never hear the end of it.

Man, Georgie, don't get me started!
The ****** top dogs should have made the necessary trades for some good arms when they had the chance! NYY starters look more like mediocre relief and the relief looked just plain sorry!
Those idiots Cashman and Steinbrenner have their heads so far up their rear end they don't know what the he** is going on with their own damn team! It's their fault we don't have the necessary pitching staff!
As for the fabled "Murderer's Row"? Ugh! I can't believe they got psyched out by a few good pitches! Why did they look defeated already in the very 1st inning? Why the he** didn't they want it as bad as we wanted it for them?
Bad defense, bad offense, bad pitching, you name it, the Yankees had it these last 3 games!
Congratulations to the Tigers!
Their manager actually gives a damn about his players ~ not like Torre, who didn't even talk to his team about winning Saturday. The bum said that if he had to talk to them, then they weren't his Yankees, they'd be JUST ANY team and he didn't want to convey that kind of message. Bull****! Obviously he didn't convey ANY message. He may as well have not even been there! I've never been so mad at a Yankees loss before! They beat themselves!
Not to take anything away from those awesome Tigers! They flat out had their way with my Yankees.
And yeah, Detroit's got that look, you know they want it bad! And they play great ball, they have all year, but these are the Yankees! I didn't think the Tigers were better than them, but it looks like they are.
You be LOUD & PROUD, Georgie! You & your Tigers deserve it!
Thanks for letting me vent! Time to cry again. : (

Try to get the best by over paying players won't still get you to the world series if you're to over confident to beat a team. That's what happen to the Yankees thinking it was real easy to beat Detroit thinking they would sweep. They thought wrong.

They fell short on their persuit of 27... it's been a whooping 6 years.

By the way Georgie, what happened to the Tigers on the way to their 5th title? Which of course has only taken 22 years so far.

It seems to me that you really shouldn't get all uppity until things even out a wee bit.

OH... and by the way, congrats on getting BACK to the LCS! I do know that you're one of the ones that's stuck by them all this time.
