Every single car built is bad for the environment. Unless maybe it's made of rocks.
Do you drive a car? Is your car 'good' for the environment?
People buy larger, stronger vehicles to improve their own safety. It's a natural instinct, especially for mothers. The 4WD means it is more capable of handling rough driving conditions such as snow, another benefit.
I personally am not interested in a Hummer. Not enough room inside. I'm getting a Sportsmobile Ford E350 4WD van. Maybe the Diesel version so I can use BioDiesel.

i own a repair shop, and there a seller for a troubled car company, one we all know,,it helped boost there sells when they were down, and also now the government uses them a lot so they do serve a purpose, i do agree with you though they are hard on fuel, and are hard to park, but then so are a lot of other vehicles also, look at the big ford pick ups and the Chevy,s and dodges there all real big,and people seem to like them anyway,,i guess what the car company's are trying to do is give the people what they ask for, that's the only way they can stay in business these days, its a point that some day we may think back on,and say what if,we hadn't had the big vehicles, but for now there here, good luck i hope this help,s.

the H2's and H3's are for people with too much money that want to feel invincible and somehow special though buying a glorified Suburban and Trailblazer. The H1 on the other hand is the civilian version of the military vehicle, and arguably the best off roading truck out there.
