How hard for you to move that far away from your friends and school! Of course you are nervous and will be. Your personality, though, will win them over and your will be popular again, just as you were. Zero in on one person in your new school and learn the ropes, somebody you can identify with. Sometimes the counselor will have someone be with you the first day to guide you, you might ask them if they would do this for you. I'm sure they would. It will take a couple of days for you to get familiar with the surroundings, relax, it will be over and you will be excited about all the new people you 'll meet. Good luck and have fun!

I've moved three times in the last eight years all from very different cultures. New York to Kentucky then from Kentucky to El paso, TX. Just be yourself. Every time i moved i thought i would have trouble making friends but i've done fine.My latest move was during the summer before my first year in high school. To a high school, being a white male, the minority. people are people. Some are cool some aren't. i tend to hang with the people that i think are cool. lol Oh by the way this is
Andy's son not andy lol. hang in there it will be fine.

If you can, before you start going to school, try to get into some extra curricular activities and make friends there. Then, when you start school, it wont be so hard because you at least know the names of some people. And dont be nervous that you wont fit it... theres ALWAYS a friend for everybody... it might take some time, but it will happen

The same thing happened to me this year but I moved over the Atlantic without my family.
I don't think there is anything to do about the anxiety but don't worry you will find somebody that will want to be your friend it just takes a little while.
I would suggest if before you become friends you look around and see what the people are like.
Good Luck

You either fit in or you don't. If things don't click within the first month your ******. I moved and it blows. I have no friends, and don't fit in at all. No one here likes the same things I do, and I have to sit alone at lunch. I haven't hung out with anyone my own age since I moved, last march. It sucks. BUT if you are the popular girl now, and you are hott, don't worry too much. Because the popular guys and girls will automatically become friends with you, and you will be on top again. Lucky you.
